About the role:
The Mobile Maintenance team at Roy Hill is on the lookout for passionate and skilled Diesel Fitters to become a pivotal part of our Hauling & Ancillary crew.
Under the guidance of the Supervisor Mobile Maintenance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our diverse and state-of-the-art heavy equipment fleet. This includes production loaders and a wide array of ancillary equipment, ranging from electric to mechanical drive trucks.

Duties:
- Carry out comprehensive inspections, servicing, repairs, and maintenance, ensuring our fleet's reliability and efficiency
- Resolve mechanical challenges head-on, applying your problem-solving skills to maintain vehicle availability and performance
- Engage in both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, utilizing your deep knowledge of products, techniques, and processes to drive excellence
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Australian recognised trade certificate required
- Current WA manual C class driver’s licence required

About the Role:
We are seeking Heavy Diesel Fitters for our Mobile Maintenance Division, based in Newman West. These roles will be to conduct planned and breakdown maintenance and repairs to predominantly CAT 793F Haul Trucks and CAT 785 Watercarts. Demonstrated experience in maintaining and diagnosing mobile equipment is highly regarded. This will be a FIFO 8/6/7/7 roster, you will FIFO from Perth.
Responsibilities include:
- Planned and breakdown maintenance on variety of large mobile plant, predominantly Haul Truck and Water Truck
- Carrying out inspections and repairs on equipment as per maintenance strategies
- Executing work orders as per schedule to a high standard
- Scoping and creating 1SAP notifications for preventative work
- Contribute to a positive team culture and working to a high degree of safety at all times
About You
- Trade Qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter
- Previous experience in mining, or a transferrable industry with larger sized earthmoving equipment
- Cat & Cummins knowledge is highly desirable
- Previous maintenance experience with Haul Truck highly advantageous
- Team focused, with a high regard for safety in the workplace
- Highly developed diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team

About the Role
The role will be based at our Western Australia Iron Ore sites in the Pilbara, on an 8/6 7/7 rotating days and night shift, fly in-fly out roster from Perth.
These sites include South Flank, Yandi, Jimblebar and Newman.

In your role your primary duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Servicing, repairs, inspections, planned and breakdown maintenance on variety of equipment including Komatsu haul trucks, Caterpillar ancillary equipment, Liebherr and Atlas Copco
- Initiating updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment
- Providing input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementing of the new initiatives in a constructive way
- Demonstrating a focus on safety, achievement and team engagement in all aspects of work
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- Australian Recognised Heavy Mechanical Qualifications
- Komatsu haul trucks, Caterpillar ancillary equipment, Liebherr and Atlas Copco experience highly desirable
- Demonstrated diagnostics and breakdown experience with ideally both trucks & ancillary equipment
- Dogging, Rigging and Forklift Licenses are desirable
- A commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail and procedure
- Computer literacy and/or experience in 1SAP

About the Role
The WA Iron Ore team is currently looking to connect with fixed plant mechanical tradespeople who would be interested in joining our world-class maintenance teams. Having the right people working within our organization focusing on our maintenance will allow us to unlock the value of our assets by ensuring that we have reliable equipment, predictable operations and a safe work environment for our people.
The roles are based in the coast town of Port Hedland which is home to our Port and Rail operations and is the largest regional centre in North West Australia. The 15,000 strong population enjoys well-established education services, entertainment, shopping and medical centres. As this is a residential position you will also be provided with subsidized rental accommodation in addition to power and water subsidies.
You will be responsible for executing a maintenance schedule on fixed plant equipment. You will be actively involved in the planning and scoping of work to be executed in PM outages and making maintenance and operating decisions either as individuals or as a team to ensure the safety, reliability and efficiency of our assets.
Your duties may include:
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
- Undertaking preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with maintenance planning systems and recommending appropriate follow-up action
- Undertake and implement Improvements to work instructions and planned maintenance strategies
- Working from hydraulic schematic drawings, prints, plans or manuals
- Carrying out all activities within the whole-of-job scope, including pre-work, preparation of JHAs and/or DWPs, organizing materials, execution, testing and completion of tasks.
- Be self-directed, ensuring that operating and maintenance targets are achieved.
- Take responsibility for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of fixed plant.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certificate (Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner/Machinist or Hydraulics)
- Minimum of C class Manual Driver’s License
- Breakdown/Fault finding experience
- Experience working with heavy fixed plant
- Component changeouts and experience with gearbox/pulley alignments, also the use of laser alignment equipment
- HRWL, Rigging (Basic), EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space training and current MSIC

Dewatering Diesel Mechanic/ Fitter
Our Opportunity
**Work Location:**Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.
Roster: 7D7R FIFO Ex Perth or Busselton
Reporting to the Water Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance and repairs of the water asset equipment across Eliwana. This equipment includes the centrifugal pumps, portable generators, submersible pumps, isolation, and control valves.
Key Responsibilities
- Routine servicing, maintenance, and breakdown repairs on the fleet of generators and diesel pumps
- Priorities and attend breakdowns to ensure minimal downtime
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Inspection and maintenance of Multistage Bore Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, fire pumps and Isolation and controls valves
Qualifications and Experience
- Diesel trade background in either Light/ Heavy vehicle trade as majority of work is diesel powered gensets or pumps
- Self-motivated and ability to work in a strong team environment as well as individually
- Strong organizational and communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrate strong safety values
- Experience with Fortescue’s computer-based systems (BMS, SAP)
- HR drivers’ license, forklift, CN, rigging or dogging tickets preferable

About the Role
The role will be based at our Western Australia Iron Ore sites in the Pilbara, on an 8/6 7/7 rotating days and night shift, fly in-fly out roster from Perth. This role will be situated on our Newman site, within our Mobile Equipment Maintenance department.

About the Role
We are looking for a Heavy-Duty Fitter to join the Mobile Maintenance Team at our Tom Price Mining Operation. This is a permanent, residential position based in Tom Price, working 4 days on, 4 nights on and 6 days off.
You will be responsible for carrying out inspections, scheduled and breakdown maintenance to our fleet of heavy mobile equipment. Our fleet consists of Komatsu haul trucks, CAT Dozers, Graders and Loaders along with a fleet of ancillary and pumping equipment.

This role is a Permanent role and is DIDO. This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes – bus available from Bunbury location only) and other nearby scenic communities.
As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.
As the Technician Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for (safely execute maintenance work within an operation area as per SAP (computerized maintenance management system) processes, maintenance schedules and work instructions as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Demonstrate commitment and conformance to safe work practices and procedures.
- Ensure compliance to the SAP process for work execution and capture related transactional data into the SAP system.
- Execute work orders as per schedule and relevant work instructions as directed by the supervisor maintenance or superintendent maintenance.
- Ensure work is done to the highest standard and history is recorded in SAP notifications for future reference.

We are currently looking to enhance the rosters that are on offer across our Area C mine site, on the Traditional Lands of the Banjima People in Western Australia’s Pilbara. We are currently exploring the opportunity to move our Mining Production teams from a 2/1 roster to a 2 week on, 2 week off, 12-hour day and night shift FIFO roster to start in 2025. This means more days at home to enjoy doing what you love.
The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, netted cricket pitch, tennis and basketball court, beach volleyball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts, table tennis, TV and DVD player. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.

We are looking for experienced Pump Fitters to join our Solomon OPF Mechanical Maintenance Team on a 2/2 Roster. This role will be responsible for Pump rebuilds and fault finding along with carrying out plant condition based inspections. The successful applicant will work alongside the mechanical, operations and technical team, with ability to mentor, coach and train apprentices.

- Promote rigorous compliance to Zero Harm principles on a daily basis such as ensuring that all works completed are adequately risk assessed and hazards mitigated and adequately controlled
- Ensure all maintenance works are completed in a timely manner to a very high quality

The role will be based at our Western Australia Iron Ore sites in the Pilbara, on an 8/6 7/7 rotating days and night shift, fly in-fly out roster from Perth. This role will be situated on our Jimblebar site, within our Mobile Equipment Maintenance department.

About the Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated team members to join our Mobile Equipment Maintenance team as a Mechanical Technician in the OB18 workshop. This role is offered on a fly-in, fly-out roster of 7 days, 7 nights and 14 days off.
Responsibility of the role include:
- Overhaul of fleet CAT machinery such as 785C, 793F Trucks, D10, D10T, 16M,18 series graders, 854, 992, 994 Loaders
- Performing quality checks throughout the rebuild process and post-rebuild to ensure all work adheres to high standards of accuracy and reliability
- Ability to manage work priorities to adhere to shut timeframes and execution deadlines
- Strong ability and use of Cat SIS 2.0 for part identification and replacement
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations during all rebuild activities to ensure a secure working environment
- Document and report any unexpected issues or delays during the rebuild process to the supervisor for resolution
- Create notifications using Fiori for all reported faults
- Assist in fault finding by providing key information to maintenance personnel.
About You
- A trade qualification within Mobile Maintenance or experience in an equivalent industry undertaking maintenance activities
- Ability to influence and work with teams to collaboratively problem solve
- Good understanding of work management process including use of SAP/Fiori
- Good organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks
- Flexible, team-orientated approach with strong communications skills
- Be able to work in a reactive, fast paced environment
- OHTC/Forklift/Rigging VOC an advantage

About the Role
BHP are currently seeking highly motivated Heavy Diesel Fitters who are interested in moving to Newman and joining our Newman Operations residential teams for upcoming opportunities.
Newman Operations is part of Western Australian Iron Ore and consists of two mining sites in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people. Comprising of Newman East and Newman West - Newman Operations accounts for about 78 million tonnes in total iron ore production.

Roster: Lifestyle roster (4 days on - 5 off, 5 nights on - 4 off, 5 days on - 5 off, 4 nights on - 5 off, 5 days on - 4 off, 5 nights on - 5 off).
Our Mobile Maintenance departments focus on the below equipment. You will have the opportunity to select your area of expertise in your application:
- Field equipment: (Drills and Excavators) Epiroc drills D65, PV271. Excavators Liebherr 9150, 9400, R996B
- Trucks (Haul Trucks, Water Carts, Floats, Service Trucks) CAT, Haulmax
- LV / Auxiliary: Highway Trucks, Service Trucks, MPU's, Lighting Plants, Generators
In your role your primary duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, attending breakdowns and running complex diagnostics/testing and fault finding of mobile fleet
- Identifying and rectifying faults during inspections and following specific maintenance programs
- Initiating updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment
- Providing input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementing of the new initiatives in a constructive way
- Demonstrating a focus on safety, achievement and team engagement in all aspects of work
About You
Reporting to the Supervisors within the Mobile Equipment Maintenance teams we are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- Australian Recognised Heavy Mechanical Qualifications
- Technically/mechanically sound skills with Liebherr, CAT, Cummins and/or Epiroc is highly sought after
- Demonstrated diagnostics and breakdown experience with ideally both trucks & ancillary equipment
- Dogging, Rigging and Forklift Licenses are desirable
- A commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail and procedure
- Computer literacy and/or experience in 1SAP
