About the role
We are looking for a local Tom Price resident who is interested in joining our Fixed Plant Operations team.
You’ll be part of a friendly team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work a lifestyle friendly 8/6 or 8/6/7/7 roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Plant Operations you will:

About the Role
Newman Operations is part of Western Australian Iron Ore and consists of two mining sites in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Comprising of Newman East and Newman West - Newman Operations accounts for about 78 million tonnes in total iron ore production.
We are currently seeking highly motivated Operators for upcoming opportunities with our Newman Operations residential teams. We currently have opportunities in both our Conventional & Autonomy Operations in a variety of roles.

The successful applicants will have a minimum of 2 years Mining experience in any of the following roles;

About You
Reporting to the Mining Production Supervisor within the Mining Production team we are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- A Team player who can help influence and shape our culture to ensure a safe, productive, sustainable and disciplined approach to work is maintained.
- A positive can-do attitude with a strong passion for safety improving mining efficiencies.
- Minimum 2 Years Production Mining
- Computer literacy and experience with MineStar or Modular Fleet Management System
- Experience operating or working as a Field Builder within an Autonomous Mine highly regarded.
- Experience operating production excavators,dozers and loaders
- Flexible, team-orientated approach with strong communications skills
- Minimum C Class Driver’s license unrestricted is essential.

Reporting to the Supervisor Maintenance, you will carry out general maintenance support to mining equipment maintenance teams (trucks, dozers, loaders, excavators, drills, dewatering, light vehicles etc). This may include routine fuel and lubrication top ups on our Surface Mobile Equipment (SME). You will be required to operate Light Vehicle (LV) class and SME class service truck vehicles, as well as using a forklift to move, stage and load parts. Training and development will be a key part of the job for the successful candidate.
In this role you will
- Assist maintenance technicians with routine tasks and operations.
- Learn and perform basic maintenance procedures (e.g., cleaning, lubricating).
- Conduct visual inspections and report defects/issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with maintenance team to prioritize tasks.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering parts.
Requirements:
To be considered for these positions it is not essential (but beneficial) to have prior experience within the mining industry; transferrable skill-sets within Construction, Warehouse, Mining operations, Oil & Gas, Aviation, Civil, Defence & Agriculture just to name a few may transfer well into these positions.
- No prior experience required; willingness to learn.
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or interest.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Enjoy or suit a workshop environment and working outdoors, work with tools, describe yourself as exceptionally hands on or are considering a career in maintenance, this position is for you.
About You
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- C Class Drivers Licence (HR Drivers Licence is preferred)
- High Risk Work licence for Forklift
- Experience with re-fuelling and servicing of Equipment is advantageous

About the role:
The Supply Chain Execution team is currently seeking an Operator to join them on an 4/3 12hr, day shift only roster based in Perth. Reporting to the Supervisor Supply Chain Execution, you will be responsible for providing material handling practices related to the provision of a well-managed supply chain service across our operation.
Duties:
- Safe operation of a warehouse ancillary equipment in line with best practice and Roy Hill procedures.
- Ensure compliance of quality and quantity of items received on consignment.
- Accurate record keeping of goods inwards and outwards against manifest.
- Perform SAP receipt and cross-docking activities.
- Preparation and staging of goods for transport to multiple locations in line with chain of responsibility and dangerous goods guidelines.
Skills and Experience:

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Head of Environment, Land Access and Approvals this role is responsible for assisting the Land Access team by performing general administrative functions such as compilation of periodic reports, preparing meeting agendas and minutes and assisting with travel bookings. The core focus of the role will be assisting the Tenements Specialist in maintaining correspondence, database records and compilation of expenditures.
This is a permanent full-time role based at our beautiful West Perth office, near the City West train station, which includes travel to site on an ad-hoc basis.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Budget preparation for required administrative costs
- Processing payment of rents and rates
- Tracking expenditure and preparing progress reports of expenditures against commitments
- Assisting in preparing and submitting Form 5 expenditure reports
- Recording incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Compiling data for monthly reports
- Database entry
- Assisting in maintaining and monitoring of the Land Tracker tenement management system and associated Expenditure Watch data to ensure compliance with statutory obligations
- General Administrative duties as required
ABOUT YOU:
- Experience in Warden Court processes highly regarded, as is GIS (Datamine/Mapinfo/QGIS) experience
- Working knowledge of relevant WA mining legislation and procedures for DMIRS and other relevant government departments is advantageous
- Well organized, yet adaptable to business requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Tertiary qualifications in environment, heritage and/or indigenous studies, law or associated areas is not essential, but also highly regarded
- Proficient user of the Microsoft office Suite of products

About the role
We have an opportunity for an Operator Maintainer Electricalto work across our gas turbine generation assets within the Utilities Coastal Team. The Power Station is one of four Rio Tinto Gas Turbine Power Stations in the Pilbara region, suppling power to the Mining, Port and residential assets across the whole Pilbara region.
The Power Station offers a variety of systems to enhance your work experience, that include:

Cape Lambert Power Station is North of the City of Karratha, close to the town of Wickham and supports amongst other things the port facilities, which consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Drill Supervisorthe Drill Operator is responsible the operation of Drilling & Ancillary equipment as directed in a safe, effective and efficient manner to meet operational requirements of the Drill & Blast Teams.
This is a permanent position, with an 8/6 (dayshift), 7/7 (nightshift) roster based at our Pilgangoora Operation.
Supporting the Drilling Supervisor, the role requires safe and timely achievement of targeted outcomes by:

- Ensure accurate hole alignment and spacing to meet blasting requirements.
- Monitor drilling progress and adjust techniques as necessary to optimise efficiency.
- Operate water cart equipment to provide water supply for drill rigs, ensuring dust suppression.

We are seeking candidates with shut-down experience within mining specifically with exposure to the above fixed plant equipment.
- Remove and replace conveyor idlers rollers), bulk and singularly.
- Remove and replace idlers frames.
- Carry out routine inspections on skirt liners.
- Diagnose scraper issues, refurbish scraper components.
- Undertake training and upskilling as relevant to technical role.
- Be comfortable in the use of maintenance systems (SAP) or willingness to learn.
- Take personal responsibility for achieving results.
- Actively participate in identification of continues improvement.
- Safety first with the capacity to speak up and play an active role in positive team culture and creating a great workplace.
About you:
You will present with shutdown experience within mining ideally with exposure to the fixed plant experience mentioned. Conveyer Maintenance being highly regarded, you will ideally hold you EWP, Confined Space, Working at Heights and Gas Testing as a minimum. South Flank is BHP's newest iron ore mine, and the biggest in 50 years. It expands existing infrastructure at Mining Area C, adding 80 Mtpa of new crushing and screening capacity, an extensive overland conveyor system, expanded stockyards and new train loading facilities to form the largest iron ore hub in the Pilbara region. Its brand new mining fleet is the biggest and best in class, and has been converted to autonomous operation, in line with South Flank's future-facing design.

Newman Operations is part of Western Australian Iron Ore and consists of two mining sites in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.

About the role:
To be considered for this role you will have:
- As a Cranes and Transport Operator you will perform all activities associated with operating mobile cranes and transport equipment across our Pilbara Operations.

- Utilizing, drop deck, flat top, semi-trailers, and floats ranging from 50T – 100T. Ability and desire to upgrade to MC truck license for road train purposes, towing crane counterweights on purpose built skel trailers.
- Understanding of Main Roads permitting requirements and the Chain of Responsibility.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications/ SAP/ Emails

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Drill Supervisor the Water Cart Operator is responsible operating equipment as directed in a safe, effective, and efficient manner to meet operational requirements of the Drill & Blast Teams.
This is a permanent position, with an 8/6 (dayshift), 7/7 (nightshift) roster based at our Pilgangoora Operation.
Supporting the Drill Supervisor, the role requires safe and timely achievement of targeted outcomes by:

- Operate Ancillary equipment within the shift to ensure optimum productivity in a safe and efficient manner.
- Contribute to and participate in a flexible and motivated production crew, committed to the achievement of quality production goals.

- Ensure occupational health and safety issues are considered in all aspects of duties performed.
- Maintain high standards of performance and adopt a proactive approach to occupational health and safety issues.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Report all observed safety incidents and hazards.
- Complete Take-5’s before starting each task or midway through a task if conditions change.
- Perform all tasks in a professional and diligent manner and always treat others with dignity, respect and fairness.
- Maintain good working relationships with superiors, peers and all internal as well as external clients, such as contractors, suppliers and service providers.
- Report all observed safety incidents and hazards.
- Drive and operate watercarts equipped with water tanks and spraying systems to provide water for dust suppression around drilling rigs and other designated areas of the mine site.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on watercarts to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any faults, defects, or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with drilling rig operators, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate watercart operations efficiently and address any issues or concerns as they arise.
- Undergo training to provide support for drilling operations.
- Assist Blast crew when required with on bench activities, Blasthole QA/QC, Blast guard duties.

Mining Production Excavator Operators with proven work history operating any of the following machines with additional experience with the Komatsu Frontrunner AHS in an open pit hard-rock mining environment will be highly regarded.

- Komatsu PC4000
About You
Your expertise in problem solving & diagnostics, coupled with your ability to communicate and build strong team relationships will make you an ideal candidate to help influence and shape our culture to ensure a safe, productive, sustainable and disciplined approach to work is maintained.
Ideally you will meet the following requirements;
- Minimum 2 years production digging experience.
- Computer literacy and experience with the Komatsu Frontrunner AHS.
- Experience working as a Field Builder within an autonomous mine will be highly regarded.
- Valid C class manual drivers licence is essential.
