This role will cover the Cloudbreak and Christmas Creek mine sites in the department of Water Management as part of the Chichester Hub Operations.
Reporting to the Superintendent Engineering at Chichester Water Management, the Reliability Engineer will proactively identify opportunities to improve assets effectiveness and utilisation to drive the key metrics in Safety, Cost and Performance.
The successful candidate for the role is a curious self-learner who writes and communicates with influence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Root Cause Analysis on site and champion implementation and imbedding of actions.
- Implement and maintain systems for downtime tracking, including data integrity.
- Develop and continuously improve on asset maintenance strategies based on learnings from RCAs and OEM recommendations.
- Develop, maintain, and routinely communicate on equipment performance metrics.
- Maintain equipment registers to inform and ensure SAP Master Data integrity.
- Develop and maintain asset whole of life models for all key dewatering equipment.
- Actively seek opportunities for equipment reliability improvement and lead implementation of defect elimination.
- Provide technical support to operating and maintenance teams as the site equipment subject matter expert.
- Actively engage with vendor SMEs to implement equipment improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in site reliability engineering role.
- Previous experience implementing defect elimination process and facilitating root cause analysis.
- Working knowledge of Industry and Australian Standards.
- Working knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act/Regs.
- Condition monitoring certification is desirable.
- Reliability engineering certification is desirable.
- Experience with submersible motors, centrifugal pumps and power generators and their applications is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in water management is highly desirable

Reporting to the Superintendent Process Control, the role is to provide support and assist with fault finding activities within the Rail Rolling Stock Maintenance space, focusing on the Ore Car Workshop located at our Thomas Yard facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety Practice - anticipate & proactively resolve potential problems to ensure a zero-harm environment through design/ formulation of technical solutions
- Liaise with relevant departments to provide technical solutions for operational support and projects
- Build co-operative relationships to design new equipment and/or systems in conjunction with internal & external experts

About the role
Your role as the Specialist Reliability Engineer - Structural will be to provide technical support to the Maintenance team by applying Reliability Centred Maintenance principles in driving defect elimination, improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to support safe and reliable operations. Establishing and maintaining relationships with the maintenance, production, planning and engineering teams will be critical to ensure success in this role.
This position is based at BMA Hay Point Terminal and is offered as a 5/2 Roster - this role is open to Mackay region applicants only as this site does not provide for FIFO or camp.
Key accountabilities include:
- Demonstrate alignment to BHP Charter Values and Our Code of Business Conduct;
- Demonstrate safety leadership by supporting the Field Leadership program to continuously improve safety performance;
- Build business partnerships and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business;
- Support reliability improvements and the elimination of defects in the end-to-end maintenance system inclusive of defects in parts, procedures, work quality and processes;
- Analyse performance metrics and benchmark performance across the site and other BHP businesses;
- Support the development of operating standards, procedures and work instructions (operational and maintenance);
- Analyse life of equipment to determine equipment capability and optimisation of maintenance activities;
- Develop and optimise maintenance strategies that enable plant safety, reliability and performance to be maximised;
- Develop and increase the capability of the maintenance execution team to drive safety, reliability, efficiency, quality of work and 'maintenance as a profession';
- Closely monitor equipment performance in relation to cost, performance and reliability and complete targeted root cause analysis (RCA). Develop and implement subsequent improvement actions and monitor their effectiveness;
- Provide coaching to the maintenance execution team in regard to defect elimination and root cause analysis;
- Work closely with other functions within the organisation including Maintenance and Engineering Centre of Excellence (MECoE), supply and production departments;
- Deliver root cause analysis and “failure type” reviews.
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
- Mechanical & Reliability industry experience in Maintenance or Degree qualified in Structural Engineering
- Strong proven work experience in a similar role
- Ability to influence, engage, & communicate with stakeholders effectively across all levels of the business, from frontline employees to senior management.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to finding practical solutions utilising continuous improvement processes.
- Ability to define and manage projects from conception to completion.
- High-level of experience with all Microsoft Office Applications & 1SAP.
- Ability to apply management of change & risk principles.

About the role

Our OC Support team provides technical support and delivers process improvement initiatives across Rio Tinto Iron Ore. Joining Fortescue as a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Ore Processing & Materials Handling, you will be responsible for providing technical support for OPF (Ore Processing Facility) assets, including conveyors, screens, and crushers. In this role, you will be responsible for providing mechanical engineering expertise to support the design, implementation and maintenance of material handling technologies in the mining and associated heavy industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to operations and projects teams, to ensure materials handling assets are designed and commissioned to the required standards, including but not limited to conveyors, screens, and crushers.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring mechanical failures, providing recommendations for preventive actions and redesigns.
- Review mechanical package deliverables including datasheets, specifications, supply data requirements list, drawings, calculations and reports.
- Develop and review sound Engineering Standards and procedures to govern design and maintenance of materials handling plant.

- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Reliability Engineering, or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Solid engineering experience with mining fixed plant or heavy industry. With preferred experience in non-process infrastructure and process plants in mining and resource projects.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of industry codes of practice, best practices, and design principles.
- Preferred background in design, auditing, project delivery, and operations.
- Understanding of conveyor mechanics.
- Experience in all project phases, from studies and detailed design to execution.
- Proficiency in software such as Helix, MS Office, and Navisworks.

About the Role
Working within our Fixed Plant Processing team and Reporting to the Processing Production Superintendent, this position will be part of a team working towards analysing plant performance, defining how best to prioritise, plan, lead and implement improvements.

In this role you will:
- Produce production standards, targets and operating philosophies that ensure effective production process controls are maintained

About Potash
The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometres east of Saskatoon. BHP’s CAD$14 billion (US$10.5 billion) investment in the Jansen project will deliver a potash mine in Saskatchewan designed to maximize sustainability. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan’s history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles.
Jansen's construction will take place over several years with first production planned for late 2026. Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages. Purpose
The Principal Project Engineer is responsible for fulfilling a broad scope of responsibilities across the project lifecycle from concept to handover, including engineering design oversight, development of technical, contractual and commercial requirements through to tender, execution management, and closeout. This role will develop and manage project scopes, budgets, plans and schedules, supporting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses where required, and will follow BHP’s project management framework and management of change process.
The Principal Project Engineer will be part of the Modifications and Operational Projects Team and will collaborate with the Discipline Engineers and Governance & Technical Stewardship team. Modifications and Operational Projects is part of the Asset Engineering team which works closely with the Operations, Integrated Operations, Planning, Technical & Environment (PT&E), and Health, Safety and Security (HSS) teams to deliver on our Asset priorities.
Work Location
This role will be based at the Jansen Mine Site located in Leroy, SK. The associated work schedule will be Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. As this role is not eligible for accommodation in the site camp, the incumbent must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Jansen site. Flexibility to work from the Saskatoon office for a period prior to relocating is available.

About the role
We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Reliability Engineer based in South Flank on a FIFO 5:2, 4:3 or 8:6 roster.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Provide important input towards a high achieving Fixed Plant Maintenance team

This role is a Permanent position on a 9-day fortnight roster, DIDO to our Boddington Bauxite Mine located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour). Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and implement short and long term strategic mine plans
- Analyse mine plan performance, compliance and efficiency and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with various support functions, including Geology, Drill & Blast, Geotechnical, Hydrogeology, Surface Water, Approvals and Heritage to enable timely achievement of milestones
- Identify risks and opportunities, and implement tools and processes to drive mining efficiencies
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to site mine planning teams
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or related field
- Previous experience in medium-term planning in a high production, mining environment
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficiency using excel and mine planning/scheduling software
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders

Desktop Support Engineer

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Service Delivery Lead, the Desktop Support Engineer is responsible for providing effective and efficient telephone and face-to-face technical support to users regarding Desktop issues. Following agreed procedures, respond to requests for assistance by providing information to enable users to resolve their problems.
This is a Full-time permanent position on a 5/2 roster based at the West Perth office with the ad hoc visits to site.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Installing, configuring and maintaining PCs;
- Setting up new PCs and laptops and user accounts for staff;
- Establish and administer standard user templates for hardware and software requirements
- Identifying and resolving staff IT issues;
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate system and security controls, security levels and systems access;
- Developing and maintaining relevant documentation and procedures;
- Providing support for systems software users;
- Liaise with service providers and progress improvement to service levels for the company (incl. use of Service Level Agreements);
- Maintain accurate log entries of faults with resolution and contact details.
- Work across the corporate support office and attend the site on a regular basis
- Coordinate IT service requirements and recommend new initiatives,
- Available after hours and at weekends as required to help maintain uptime on infrastructure.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and unsupervised to deliver initiatives on time.
- Prioritize and schedule problems. Escalate the problem (when required) to the Network Administrator.
ABOUT YOU:
- Strong technical knowledge with proven ability to resolve technical issues in a Microsoft environment (Windows 10 and Office 365).
- Knowledge of PC hardware.
- Understanding of infrastructure (DHCP, DNS, and Exchange) and networking (IP Addressing, routing, network topologies etc.)
- Degree Qualified in Information technology
- Microsoft Certified Professional
- Possession of a current Class C Driver’s License
