About the role

About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Electrical and Control Systems Engineer to join our inclusive and diverse Maintenance Planning & Engineering (MP&E) Team. Reporting to the MP&E Engineering Superintendent, you will be responsible for the below duties:
- Adhere to all Rio Tinto health and safety standards, policies and procedures and report any safety hazards and risks to the appropriate channels
- Minimize business interruptions by providing engineering support for escalated electrical, control system, network, and instrumentation faults
- Provide technical guidance and oversight for complex instrumentation, control systems, and electrical asset maintenance work to maintenance, operations, project, and commercial teams
- Execute programs of work to optimize asset management for electrical assets
- Support the implementation and management of Functional Safety systems and processes
- Implement DE improvements to control system and electrical assets
- Collaborate with MP&E central teams to share learnings and support replication opportunities
- Review Management of Change for site assets, including control system and process control assets
- Lead and support investigations into incidents and outages
- Manage onsite spares for electrical, control system, and instrumentation assets
- Oversee configuration management for electrical, control system, and instrumentation assets
- Lead capital projects for electrical, control system, and instrumentation upgrades
- Coordinate with central E&C Engineering and act as the point of escalation for complex control system and electrical asset fault diagnosis and recovery
- Monitor and maintain advanced control system schemes
- Support and execute machine protection and safety-related control system audits
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Knowledge and experience in electrical engineering and process control disciplines and at least 3 years of industry experience
- Ability to solve a range of problems using largely defined procedures and solutions
- Previous site experience within a mining or port environment in a control system support role.
- Operational experience and proficiency with Schneider PLCs and Citect SCADA systems would be beneficial.
- Strong communication skill to present specialist subject matter to non-specialist stakeholders
- Ability to work well in a solo or team environment
- Knowledge of Reliability Engineering and Asset Management practices
- Knowledge of the following areas : Electrical Safety, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, VSDs, UPSs, HVAC, Motors, Cabling, Instrumentation, Earthing, Functional Safety, Arc Flash, Electrical Protection, Legislation, Regulations, Electrical Australian Standards, Control Systems, HMI, Process Control

This role is offered on 8 days on, 6 days off family friendly roster, FIFO from Perth to Gudai-Darri.
Our Gudai-Darri iron ore mine is our most technologically advanced mine. In addition to leveraging technology already in use across Rio Tinto, such as autonomous trucks, trains and drills, Gudai-Darri also has more than 70 design innovations including a reclaimer with a rotable bucket wheel, a world class laboratory and in-field access to data and systems for all team members.
The Caterpillar mining fleet at Gudai-Darri includes autonomous trucks, production drills, and in a world first, autonomous water carts.
Located 110km north-west of Newman, Gudai-Darri will produce up to 43 million tonnes of iron ore a year in its first phase, contributing to our flagship product, the Pilbara Blend™. It will also become a production hub for our iron ore business, incorporating world class infrastructure and a 166-kilometre rail line connecting the mine to our existing network.

SMP Project Engineer
Linkforce is a leading integrated maintenance, engineering, and project services delivery business. THE ROLE

- Planning of materials and administering vendor orders, ensuring optimal utilisation of all resources and compliance to all timeframes
- Preparation of detailed work-packs
- Assisting with project plans, schedules and reporting
- Interpreting standard specifications and typical/standard drawings to reflect current industry standards
- Identify, investigate, record, monitor and report on actions, resolution and costs of vendor NCRs
- Ensuring all variations to scope and or specifications are approved and documented
- Providing technical support to the site team
- Reviewing completed site quality documentation and compiling close out documentation to client

ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 5yrs experience in Fixed Plant Mining or Construction
- Ability to expedite vendors and facilitate sub-contractor inspections

Engineer - Mechanical
The Opportunity
We require a motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer to support our Processing team at our Cape Preston operation. This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, working an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth.
In this role you will be responsible for tasks associated with the technical review and inspection on maintenance of the Concentrator’s area assets, to increase plant reliability and availability.
The mechanical engineer is required to provide engineering advice, expertise, training and technical recommendations to maintenance & engineering team in accordance to relevant engineering standards and business goals.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Duty of Care, CPM policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Optimize equipment availability to support production targets.
- Manage area administration and inspections, meeting cost, time, downtime, and safety targets.
- Develop equipment-specific EI standards, greasing standards, and inspection plans/forms.
- Perform daily equipment inspections (DEI), guide OEI inspectors, and address defects or threats.
- Create task lists for planned and shutdown maintenance work.
- Plan materials and spare parts for maintenance.
- Analyse equipment deterioration trends through EI data.
- Contribute to analysis of equipment failures and suggest repair, prevention, and improvement plans.
- Analyse maintenance costs, failure data, and propose improvements.
- Report monthly/yearly maintenance costs, hours, breakdowns, and materials to leadership.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times.
The following skills/experience are required:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Maintenance engineering working knowledge and sound understanding of regulatory environment for Australian mining/heavy industry
- Command of both the English and Chinese / Mandarin languages will be considered highly desirable for this position
- Solid understanding and experience working with a variety of plant processing equipment – HPGR,crushers, conveyors, mills, slurry pumps, feeders, piping systems, etc
- A current WA Manual Drivers licence is an essential requirement.

About the role
The Rail Reliability Engineering team is currently seeking an Engineer Track Condition Monitoring to join them on a 4/3 day shift only FIFO roster based at Port Hedland.
Reporting to the Superintendent Reliability Engineering, you will provide technical expertise on our Rail Track Condition Monitoring (RTCM) system and analyse data to identify infrastructure trends, defects, and potential issues, ensuring the safety and efficiency of our rail operations. By adhering to established processes, procedures, and standards, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the Roy Hill Rail Network.
Duties
- Ensure defects are appropriately managed and recorded in the relevant computer systems
- Analyse data from the track recording vehicle
- Undertake site inspections, validate data outputs, and make recommendations
- Ensure the track is safe for the passage of trains by recommending TSRs where required
- Provide technical input into development of strategy and systems required for track inspection
- Ensure timely and accurate input/output of inspection data into the various computer systems
- Monitor asset performance against the required level of reliability and availability

Senior Project Engineer - Infrastructure

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Delivery Lead, the Senior Project Engineer – Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing the development of multiple projects from initiation to completion and handover at the Pilbara Mineral Pilgangoora mine site under the guidance of the Delivery Lead.
The projects encompass camp accommodation, central services, mining auxiliary buildings, office spaces, workshops, and other supporting infrastructure essential for the mine site.
This is a permanent full-time (Monday to Friday) position based at our West Perth office, with regular travel to our Pilgangoora Operation in the Pilbara region.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Gather key project deliverables and define success metrics.
- Develop detailed project descriptions and scopes of work.

- Manage and oversee project execution from initiation to completion.

The Mine Engineer Planning reports to the Superintendent Mining Engineer and is responsible for the underground mine design, level plans and short to midterm schedule.

About the role
The Senior Mining Engineer reports to the Superintendent and is responsible for the production engineering functions to support the underground operations team. You will be the key liaison between the Technical Services and Underground Mining Operations departments, identifying where plans and actions are diverging and addressing the gaps to maintain the plan.

- Short-term planning, monthly and weekly schedules (co-ordinate inputs, develop plans and monitor variance).

Working in our Fixed Plant Maintenance Reliability Team, your role will provide technical support by applying Reliability centred maintenance principles in driving defect elimination, improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to support safe and reliable fixed plant operations. About the Role
Are you a highly skilled Control System Engineer with leadership experience? We are looking for a Lead Control System Engineer to head our control systems team at the highly automated Mooka Ore Car Repair Shop (MOCRS) in Port Hedland.
The Mooka Control Systems team is a dedicated team that supports the control systems at the highly automated WAIO Mooka ore car maintenance workshop. This role will be responsible for leading this team including providing effective and efficient 24/7 support for breakdowns and production critical issues, control system support for plant maintenance activities, functional safety preventative maintenance assistance, implementing minor improvements and providing technical stewardship and governance on control system changes.
Reporting to the Superintendent Control Systems Port & Rail, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure conformance with the BHP Charter, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct, and relevant statutory obligations

- Lead a 24/7 control systems support team, ensuring round-the-clock monitoring and rapid issue resolution to minimize delays.

About the role
We are looking for a collaborative and talented Specialist Engineer to join the Process Engineering & Major Hazards team who will be responsible for structuring, planning, coordinating and undertaking governance activities to ensure the integrity, compliance and serviceability of current and future tailings facilities and water dams.
Reporting to the Manager – Tailings & Dam and working as part of dynamic and exciting team, you will:
- Lead assurance to ensure compliance with relevant standards, including D5, GISTM (Global Industry Standard for tailings Management), and other commitments, and manage risk at the program level.
- Oversee the review and update of technical Standards and the Tailings Management System, ensuring procedures align with RioTinto D5 standards
- Coordinate 1LoD (First line of Defense) activities, including planning and tracking governance verifications, maintenance planning, and completion report
- Develop periodic tailings reports and manage the Major Hazards dashboard.
- Provide input and provide technical assurance to the development of future tailings storage facilities including new methods and technologies, ensuring industry accepted practice, at minimum, is implemented
- Support and provide guidance to Responsible Dam Engineers (RDEs) to improve their assurance and governance activities
- Lead improvements and consistency across all sites for governance and assurance activities
- Support Principal Engineers in their technical governance roles

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position that is DIDO daily, from our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities. This is a shift engineering role with shifts of 12 hours on day shift only with a friendly roster pattern (4/5/5/4/5/5) which also attracts a shift allowance.
As the Process Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support, direction setting and governance responsibility for the refinery process to safely achieve the budgeted physicals. You will provide expert advice to operations and participate in formulating plans to improve on HSEC, production and cost.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Support operational teams to understand risks and controls
- Identifies opportunities to maximise plant capacity and efficiency within the documented capability and strategies; as well as identifies and implements projects/trials for achieving Block Flow Diagram and Key Value Drivers.

ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

Accountable to the Superintendent: Underground Planning and working with a team of planning engineers, this role will focus on optimising medium-term mine planning and will take ownership of the quarterly and budget rolling two-year plan, whilst effectively communicate plans to the mining contractor to safely deliver the planned physicals.
This role is based at our Tropicana Gold Mine on an 8/6 or 4/3 FIFO roster from either Perth or Kalgoorlie. Flexible working arrangements will also be considered.
Accountabilities:
- Work in partnership with the operations and planning team to develop, implement, and continually improve the medium and long-term mine plan.
- Effectively communicate the mine schedule requirements to the underground mining alliance to ensure delivery of budget mine physicals
- Prepare and deliver quarterly plans and rolling two-year mine plans ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Prepare level designs and area notes. Optimise stope and mine designs, to maximise ore recovery and operational efficiency
- Devise and deliver a 2-year budget
- Assist with Ore Reserve Preparation, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities and manage projects to achieve
- Mitigate and manage threats to the delivery of budgeted underground physicals
- Be an active safety leader in line with the company’s values, policies and procedures
- Liaise with all stakeholders to deliver and develop on the optimal mine plan.

Tailings Engineer
Role Details:
Reporting to the Processing Manager and supported by the Responsible Tailings Facility Engineer (RTFE), the purpose of the role is to ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence in the management of Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs) across all phases of their lifecycle, from planning and design through to closure and rehabilitation.
This encompasses a comprehensive approach to risk management, ensuring adherence to principal mining hazard control standards, GFL TSF Management Standards, and applicable environmental and dam safety regulations. As a critical liaison between the site leadership, RTFE, the Engineer of Record (EoR), and various stakeholders, the individual in this role will play a key role in upholding the integrity and safety of the TSFs while also fostering strategic alignment with the overarching objectives set by the RTFE.

Key Requirements:

Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering.

A strong desire to expand practical underground knowledge.

Previous site experience working underground or open pit.

Proficient use of MS Office suite.

Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to, Medical, DAS, NPC & valid manual Driver’s Licence).
