The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced trade qualified Refrigeration Mechanic to join or Resources Operations Team at our site in Regional Western Australia
The successful candidate should be ambitious, enjoy a challenge and have a strong trade background including experience with the operation of facilities maintenance services for infrastructure at remote mine site locations.
Role Details:
- General refrigeration works to residential accommodation and mine site assets to a high standard, and in accordance with relevant Australian Standards
- Responsible for preparing new installations of industrial, commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Repairs and maintenance of air conditioning plant, including, room air conditioners, split units, evaporative coolers and all other general AC work
- Repairs and maintenance of refrigeration equipment, including, ice machines, drinking water fountains, cool rooms, freezer rooms, refrigerated sea containers, dining room equipment, including, cold wells, drink dispensers, display fridges, bar facilities and all other general refrigeration work
- On-call requirements
- Assisting all trades (electrical, plumbing, general building)
What we are looking for:
- Applicants must hold current trade qualifications for the Western Australia working environment
- Current National Refrigerant Handling License
- Current WA Restricted Electrical License
- Current C Class Driver's License
- Previous experience providing maintenance services in a remote mining village environment is desirable.
- Experience in the provision of high-quality customer service
- Ability to work independently
- Sound documentation and computer skills, experience using works management systems via mobile devices, well regarded
- Working at heights certificate, well regarded
- Forklift operator’s license, well regarded

HV Electrician
Our Opportunity
Location: Christmas Creek, located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 8D/6R, 7N/7R - FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra.
The High Voltage Electrician role ensures the effective and safe management of the HV power supply for the 9400E excavator, critical to mining operations. The position works collaboratively with the mining operations cable handling team to maintain operational efficiency and ensure minimal disruption to performance. The successful candidate will contribute to Fortescue’s green fleet asset management by adhering to company values and driving a positive, safety-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Energise and de-energise HV power supply to the 9400E excavator, ensuring statutory inspections and testing of cables are completed.
- Collaborate with the cable handling team to maintain personnel and equipment safety around HV power operations.
- Conduct high-quality HV electrical maintenance, adhering to Australian Standards, WA Mines Safety Regulations, and site-specific procedures.
- Complete and record all work orders in SAP, including documenting defects and remedial actions.
- Maintain accurate statutory records of HV electrical installations and log all relevant activities in the electrical logbook.
- Ensure safety compliance through Zero Harm principles, contributing to JHAs, SWIs, and daily safety initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Electrical Grade A License
- High Voltage Switching Certificate
- Senior First Aid and Low Voltage Rescue/CPR Certification
- Experience in the mining industry with sound knowledge of HV switching systems and fault-finding techniques..

About the role

- Lead and support investigations into incidents and outages
- Manage onsite spares for electrical, control system, and instrumentation assets
- Oversee configuration management for electrical, control system, and instrumentation assets
- Lead capital projects for electrical, control system, and instrumentation upgrades
- Coordinate with central E&C Engineering and act as the point of escalation for complex control system and electrical asset fault diagnosis and recovery
- Monitor and maintain advanced control system schemes
- Support and execute machine protection and safety-related control system audits
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Knowledge and experience in electrical engineering and process control disciplines and at least 3 years of industry experience
- Ability to solve a range of problems using largely defined procedures and solutions
- Previous site experience within a mining or port environment in a control system support role.
- Operational experience and proficiency with Schneider PLCs and Citect SCADA systems would be beneficial.
- Strong communication skill to present specialist subject matter to non-specialist stakeholders
- Ability to work well in a solo or team environment
- Knowledge of Reliability Engineering and Asset Management practices

Our Gudai-Darri iron ore mine is our most technologically advanced mine. In addition to leveraging technology already in use across Rio Tinto, such as autonomous trucks, trains and drills, Gudai-Darri also has more than 70 design innovations including a reclaimer with a rotable bucket wheel, a world class laboratory and in-field access to data and systems for all team members.
The Caterpillar mining fleet at Gudai-Darri includes autonomous trucks, production drills, and in a world first, autonomous water carts.
Located 110km north-west of Newman, Gudai-Darri will produce up to 43 million tonnes of iron ore a year in its first phase, contributing to our flagship product, the Pilbara Blend™. It will also become a production hub for our iron ore business, incorporating world class infrastructure and a 166-kilometre rail line connecting the mine to our existing network.
Gudai-Darri is creating jobs and business opportunities in Western Australia. More than 2,000 people have been employed as part of its construction with approximately 600 permanent operational roles created.

Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician is responsible for completing equipment repairs and maintenance to a high level, and in line with standard work procedures, to ensure the reliable and safe production of all fixed plant equipment.
This is a permanent full-time position on an 8/6 7/7 roster (day and night shift), FIFO from Perth, or DIDO from Port Hedland, WA.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Complete daily electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities to achieve the maintenance plan as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ensure all electrical work is completed and recorded in line with statutory regulations and requirements.
- Assist with electrical isolations and permitting when required.
- Trouble shooting electrical components and control systems to determine causes of failures including gathering of failure evidence for further analysis.
- Mechanical checks on electrical equipment (track in/out, interlocking etc.).
- Ensure all work orders are completed to a consistent high quality in PRONTO.
- Ensure parts are appropriately allocated as per work order instructions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Provide feedback to supervisors on any business improvement opportunities and ideas.
- Take a proactive approach to safety including identifying and reporting safety hazards and adhering to the Life Saving Rules.
ABOUT YOU:
- WA ‘A’ Grade Electrical licence, Cert IV Electrical Instrumentation & High Voltage switching ticket essential.
- Current WA Driver’s licence.
- Current EWP ticket, as well as CPR & LV Rescue.

Reporting to the Supervisor – Electrical, your role will include maintenance of all plant electrical and instrumentation equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This role is a Permanent position on a rotating day/night shift roster, DIDO to our Boddington Mine site.
As the Electrical Instrumentation Technician, your role is to safely execute the maintenance and refurbishment of all electrical and instrumental equipment as per SAP processes, maintenance schedules and work instructions as directed by the Supervisor Maintenance

Who are we looking for?

The Electrical Maintenance team is seeking a motivated and experienced Supervisor Electrical Maintenance to join our team on a 14/14 days and nights Roster at Roy Hill Mine. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fixed plant electrical systems.
Reporting to the Superintendent Electrical Maintenance, you will lead a team of Electricians and Coordinators, driving excellence in maintenance practices and ensuring the reliability of electrical equipment across the fixed plant. Our Kewdale Depot in Perth plays a vital role in our 24/7 operations and is the pumping heart of our for our procurement and warehousing team. This causal position is offered on an 8/6 roster, works 12 hour days from 6am to 6pm and is responsible for the electrical maintenance of the Kewdale Depot operations, including:
- Electrical and communication system fit out support to our ever growing mobile asset fleet, ranging from offices, specialised tool stores, Hydrations stations and the like
- General building maintenance and improvements
- Scoping relevant electrical maintenance and fit out tasks to provide comprehensive component and information to our team
- Periodic electrical compliance testing of transportable buildings within the warehouse
- Quarterly testing of tooling and equipment
- Electrical repairs of tools and equipment
- General warehousing assistance when required and the opportunity to upskill with relevant tickets

About the Role
The role will be based at our Western Australia Iron Ore sites in the Pilbara, on an 8/6 7/7 rotating days and night shift, fly in-fly out roster from Perth. These sites include South Flank, Yandi, Jimblebar and Newman.

- Conduct complex diagnostics and maintenance activities/repairs on Light Vehicles and Auxiliary equipment

- Follow specific maintenance programs and procedures and carrying out checks on equipment as required.

- Take personal responsibility for helping the team achieve expected results by doing what is required and taking timely actions within the scope of ability without being supervised.
- Undertake training on a regular basis and provide support and coaching to work mates within area of responsibility.
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with rescheduling of work, organising and coordinating resources, scoping of work and prioritising when required.

About the role:
As an Electrical Shutdown Coordinator, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of fixed plant shutdowns within our Newman Operations team. About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Knowledge and experience in electrical engineering and process control disciplines and at least 3 years of industry experience

Working in our Fixed Plant Maintenance Reliability Team, your role will provide technical support by applying Reliability centred maintenance principles in driving defect elimination, improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to support safe and reliable fixed plant operations. We’re seeking a driven and experienced Operator Maintainer Technician – HV to support our Power Plant team. This is your chance to be part of something new and exciting in the Pilbara. This role will be on a permanent basis, 2/1 FIFO day shift roster FIFO from Perth to Cape Preston.
In this role you’ll be responsible for the operation, maintenance, technical fault finding, HV switching and improvements to the HV Power network, including generation, transmission and distribution networks in order to ensure consistent and reliable power supply, as well as ensuring the safe operation of high voltage equipment and systems.
As an Operator Maintainer Technician – HV you will also analyse complex technical systems, determine the cause of malfunctions and contribute your specialist advice to identify opportunities to improve systems and processes, reducing waste and optimising resources.
To be successful in the role you must have the following qualifications:
- It is essential that you have at least 3 years power network operations and maintenance experience
- Candidates with trade qualifications (Electrical) will be looked upon most favourably,
- Experience in HV equipment operations, maintenance and testing. Including sound knowledge of in HV operational and isolation procedures
- High voltage switching ticket is desirable
- Sound understanding of power system protection equipment and its operation
- SAP Maintenance Management System experience is desirable
- A current WA Manual Drivers licence is an essential requirement

- Identify when maintenance consumables and supplies are to be ordered to ensure the continuous operation of the fleet
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to help improve fleet performance

Qualifications and Experience
- Australian recognised Trade Certificate
- Previous experience working on large scale Mobile Mining Equipment, ideally in a mining environment
- High level of safety awareness and orientation
- Experience with OEM diagnostic tooling
- Experience using Microsoft programs and computer based maintenance systems (SAP desirable)

About the role
The Apprentice Auto Electrician role is a directly supervised, hands on role learning the Auto Electrical trade within the underground Mining Mobile maintenance workshop guided by highly qualified and motivated tradespeople within our maintenance team.
On the job trade learning ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe, professional and efficient manner in accordance with best practices to ensure benchmark performance of our mining mobile fleet, whilst meeting key metrics and maintaining Zero Harm Operations
Through your on-the-job experience and TAFE course work, you will learn to diagnose and repair:
- Electrical systems in a wide range of heavy machinery
- Build a deep understanding of vehicle circuits, wiring, and electronic components.
- Learn to operate diagnostic tools and software to accurately identify and troubleshoot electrical issues
- Ensure the underground fleet maintenance is carried out in a professional and efficient manner following sound workmanship standards focused on quality of repair.
- Ensure Housekeeping in all responsible work areas and when maintaining the mobile equipment fleet is maintained to the highest standard.
- Commit to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles, both within own workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout Evolution.

The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced trade qualified Electrician to join our Resources Maintenance Team on a full time 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster at Perth Airport to our site in regional Western Australia.
The successful candidate should be ambitious, enjoy a challenge and have a strong electrical trade background including experience with the operation of facilities maintenance services for infrastructure at remote mine site locations.
What we are looking for:
- Current electrical trade qualification for the Western Australia working environment.

About the role
With exciting growth happening across our operations, we are now looking for experienced HD Fitters to join the maintenance team at our Mungari Operations.
Our Auto Electricians safely perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance work underground and in our surface workshops to ensure the reliability and availability of our fleet of mostly Sandvik underground mobile equipment. This includes: DD421 jumbos, Atlas longhole drills, LH517i loaders and TH663i/TH551i trucks, along with standard underground auxiliary gear.
About you
- Strong commitment to safety as a way of work
- Working knowledge of personal risk assessment (e.g. Take5 process)
- You have a Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or Electrical Trade equivalent
- Have proven experience working underground and in maintaining underground mobile equipment.
- OEM Sandvik training would be highly regarded.

Where you will be working
Our port facilities consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.

Job Description
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and inspection of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring all work complies with safety codes and regulations. You will troubleshoot faults, perform electrical repairs, and maintain equipment within the village grounds, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
You will be tasked with managing electrical work for town/ village/non-process infrastructure facilities, taking direction from the Maintenance Supervisor through the work order system. This includes conducting inspections, maintaining electrical equipment, and ensuring the integrity of in scope plant equipment, all while adhering to strict safety and operational standards.
These positions are on 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO from Perth roster.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Installation & Maintenance: Perform installations, servicing, and testing of electrical systems and equipment, meeting all safety codes and specifications.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Identify and troubleshoot faults in electrical systems, conduct repairs, and ensure systems are in safe working order.
- Electrical Inspections: Regularly inspect electrical systems and equipment, maintaining detailed records of all inspections and repairs.
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all electrical equipment in line with client requirements and industry standards.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with company and client-driven safety policies, conduct toolbox talks, and support OHS initiatives.
- Documentation & Reporting: Record all maintenance, repairs, and inspections as required by the Maintenance Supervisor, ensuring that equipment inventory is accurately maintained.
- Electrical Systems Integrity: Ensure electrical systems and plant integrity are maintained to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.
- Environmental Responsibility: Minimise waste and energy usage, report environmental hazards, and comply with environmental and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications:
- Electrical Trade Certificate – A Grade License.
- Electrical Workers Approval (WA Only).
- Electrical Contractors License (Desirable).
- Police clearance.
- C Class manual driver’s license.
- Experience as an Electrician, preferably in remote locations, commercial construction sites, or breakdown maintenance.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, troubleshooting, and the installation of electrical equipment across various industries.
- Previous exposure to domestic maintenance, non-process insfrastructure and multi-disciplinary work environments is highly regarded.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong commitment to safety and hazard awareness.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, electrical code specifications, and control schematics.
- Competence in the use of electrical tools and equipment.

Role Details
Reporting to the Supervisor: Mechanical Mobile, you will be operating out of a well-equipped and supported workshop as part of a large and cohesive team. You will be responsible for providing high quality auto-electrical preventative maintenance, diagnostic and repair services, on a large fleet of modern surface mining, ancillary and support equipment.
